Happy 4th!

This weekend Dave & I drove to Indiana, Pennsylvania to help celebrate Dave's grandma's 85th birthday.
The birthday girl, Helen Stephens.

Grandma was very surprised to see all her children come to visit over the 4th.
Above are Joyce & Don Stephens, Greg & Dorothy Duncan, grandma, Linda & Merv Fry,
below: Linda & Gary Stephens, Jan & Ed Stephens.

Most of her grandkids were present to help celebrate. Above from the state of Indiana are Jackie & Dave, grandma, Gary & Linda, Jim & Andrea. Tom, Sue & Savannah weren't able to make it since it's getting close to baby Isaiah's arrival. They were missed by us & the unusually cool weather in PA.

Above from the state of Colorado are Don & Joyce Stephens, grandma, Ashley Stephens, Rachel Stephens, Doug, Samantha, & Erin Thompson. Suzi & Mario Losasso couldn't make it since they welcomed a 6lb, 18 in, healthy baby Giovanni James on July 2nd. Aunt Joyce kept us updated during the process, she commented that it was the best birthday present she ever had.

Above from the state of Florida are Daniel, Ed, grandma, Jan, & Sarah. Stephanie couldn't make it since she's in San Antonio, Texas for her nursing training with the military.

A few more relatives helped celebrate. Above on the left is grandma's sister Dorothy. Below is Dorothy's son Dennis with his English Setters, Rascal & Scamp.

Dave, Gary, Jim, & Andrea check out Yellow Creek.

Daniel caught a pike with his bare hands.

No trip to Indiana would be complete without a trip to the family farm. Dave & Gary used the time to work on target shooting.

Even Jim tried a few shots.

Katie & Izzie decided that the farm was a great place to run.
Of course all that running can make a pup pretty tired. Izzie decided to try to get some rest in the tall grass.
The girls on the way home in the back of the truck.

We decided this would be a great time to see how Izzie does camping. She really enjoyed it & the fireworks didn't bother her at all. In fact, she sat & watched them from our tent window.
On our way to our campsite we saw 2 fawns eating at the side of the road. They were very quick so I took the best picture I could.
Izzie made a new best friend, Murphy. She's Ed & Jan's 5 month old yellow lab. Those two did a great job playing & wearing each other out. See the video below to watch them play.
We also made a quick trip to Pap Pap's farm to visit him. I tried to get a picture of their dog Bixby but wasn't successful. Izzie wasn't sure what to think about him since he's so HUGE!

I also took some video of the guys shooting. Katie was so excited to find what it was they were shooting at.
